Alkyl ether carboxylic acid (salt) -AEC9H is acting as an emulsifying agent. It is a new type of multifunctional anionic-surfactant. Exhibit non-ionic properties at low pH due to a poly-ethoxy group being inserted between the fatty chain and the carboxylic group of soaps. Shows good detergency and lime soap dispersability. It can produce stable foam with high foam power. It exhibits good properties: acid and alkaline stability, hard-water tolerance, high temperature resistance, oxidants and reductants resistance, compatibility with general surfactants and hydrotroping ability. It is non-toxic and non-irritating. Used in paste cosmetic products.

Incorporated into soap bars to improve mildness, calcium soap dispersing power, foam performance, and bath feeling;
Used in household detergents, industrial cleaning agents, and phosphate-free detergents;
Used in the textile industry for refining, silk gloss, bleaching, softening, dyeing, and other processes;
Used as an emulsifier and viscosity reducer for tertiary oil recovery and petroleum transportation, which improves oil recovery and prevents wax deposition, while being resistant to high temperature and high concentration electrolytes;
Used in the paper industry for de-inking waste paper and as a softening agent;
Used in the leather industry as a de-greasing agent component;
Used as a foaming agent for foam fire extinguishers.
