Naming rules
The "26" indicates that the degree of polymerization is about 2600, and the "99" indicates that the degree of alcoholysis is 99%.
Physical and chemical properties
Its appearance is white or slightly yellow granules, flakes or powdered solids. It needs to be dissolved well in hot water above 95°C, and its aqueous solution is easy to gel at low temperatures. It has good thermal stability, no obvious changes below 40°C, and will gradually color when heated for a long time above 160°C, and decompose above 220°C. It is almost unaffected by weak acids, weak bases or organic solvents, and has high oil resistance.
Performance characteristics
It has ultra-high viscosity, strong adhesion, good film-forming properties, excellent physical properties such as tensile strength of the film, low hygroscopicity and little influence by temperature, and has interfacial activity. It can be used as a protective colloid in polymer emulsification and suspension polymerization reactions.

paint additives, molding board adhesives, etc.; in the chemical industry, it can be used as a polymer emulsifier, dispersant and raw material for the production of polyvinyl alcohol butyral resin; in the wood and paper industries, it can be used as an adhesive, papermaking coating, architectural coating, etc.; in agriculture, it can be used as a soil conditioner, pesticide adhesion enhancer and the manufacture of polyvinyl alcohol film; in the field of oil extraction, it can be used as a cementing agent; it is also widely used in cosmetics, medicine, printing, ceramics, steel, electronics, electroplating and other industries.
